Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE: STC) appointed Matt Orlando as president of Informative Research, its data and technology services subsidiary that serves mortgage lenders and real estate professionals nationwide.

Orlando has worked at Informative Research since 2019 and served as chief experience officer after Stewart acquired the company in 2021. He holds a law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a business degree from the University of Missouri.

"Matt's leadership and deep industry expertise will accelerate IR's ability to deliver innovative solutions that empower lenders and real estate professionals," said Fred Eppinger, Stewart's chief executive officer.

The appointment follows the retirement of Sean Buckner, who led Informative Research for more than 40 years, according to Beth Fowler, president of Stewart Lender Services.

Informative Research provides credit, consumer and real estate data services through a configurable platform designed to help lenders improve sales, reduce risk and enhance efficiency in the lending process. The subsidiary operates as part of Stewart's broader strategy to create an integrated real estate services platform.

"Our high-touch, high-tech approach and highly configurable platform empower lenders to optimize consumer data strategies, reduce costs, and deliver the ideal borrower experience," Orlando said in a statement.

Houston-based Stewart operates as a global real estate services company offering title insurance, closing services and specialized mortgage and real estate industry solutions through direct operations and a network of providers.
