Southwest Gas Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SWX) announced that its board of directors has appointed Justin Brown as chief executive officer, effective May 8, 2026. Brown, currently president of Southwest Gas Corporation, will succeed Karen Haller, who plans to retire after a 29-year career with the company.
Haller will step down as president, CEO and board member following the leadership transition. The company stated she will serve as an advisor through the end of 2026 to support the transition process.
Brown has been nominated to join the board of directors following the 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, according to the company's announcement made in a press release.
E. Renae Conley, chair of the board of directors, said Brown has demonstrated operational excellence and driven positive regulatory outcomes during his tenure leading utility operations.
