Solventum names Heather Knight as chief commercial officer

Solventum (NYSE: SOLV) announced the appointment of Heather Knight as Chief Commercial Officer, effective November 10, 2025. The newly created role will oversee global commercial and research and development operations across the company's MedSurg, Dental Solutions and Health Information Systems segments.

Knight brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the medical technology industry. She most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Baxter International, where she led global sales across three business segments, as well as research and development, supply chain, and medical and regulatory affairs. Her career includes leadership roles at Medtronic, Covidien, Tyco Healthcare and Kendall. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Waters Corporation.

The appointment reflects Solventum's strategy to align its go-to-market operations under one leader, according to CEO Bryan Hanson, who stated that Knight will report directly to him.

In connection with Knight's appointment, Chris Barry, Executive Vice President and Group President of MedSurg, will depart Solventum effective December 31, 2025. Barry will remain with the company through the end of the year to support the transition.

Solventum indicated the leadership change does not impact its financial guidance. The company plans to provide its next update when third quarter results are reported in early November.

Knight expressed enthusiasm about joining Solventum during what she described as a pivotal time in the company's strategic plan execution, noting the company's market positions across its business segments.
