Sobi CEO Guido Oelkers to depart by end of January 2027
Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Nasdaq Stockholm: SOBI), known as Sobi, announced that Chief Executive Officer Guido Oelkers has informed the board of directors of his decision to step down to take a position outside the company.
Oelkers will remain in his role until the end of January 2027 at the latest. The board said it has begun a search for a successor to ensure a structured transition.
"On behalf of the Board, I would like to sincerely thank Guido for nearly 10 years of dedication and leadership at Sobi," said David Meek, chairman of the board of directors. "The Board has now begun the process of identifying a successor to ensure continuity and a smooth transition for our business and our employees."
Oelkers said he remains fully committed to the company until the end of his tenure. Sobi stated that its operations, strategy, and financial targets remain unchanged.
Sobi employs approximately 2,000 people across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. The company reported revenue of SEK 28 billion in 2025.
