Skyward Group (Nasdaq: SKWD) announced that Chief Financial Officer Mark Haushill plans to retire effective March 31, 2027, after more than 10 years with the company. Haushill will remain with the company as a Senior Advisor through the end of 2027 to support the transition.

Taryn McHarg, currently CFO of Apollo Group Holdings Ltd. and Deputy CFO of Skyward Group, will succeed Haushill upon his retirement.

During Haushill's tenure, the company completed an initial public offering in 2023, made improvements to its capital structure and financial rating from AM Best, and closed the acquisition of Apollo in January 2026.

McHarg has served as CFO at Apollo for more than four years. Prior to that role, she spent nine years at BUPA, a private healthcare insurer, where she reached the position of CFO of international markets. She also spent seven years at Ernst & Young.

CEO Andrew Robinson said, "Mark has been an exceptional partner and a pillar in Skyward's journey and success. His friendship, spirit, and genuine caring for the Skyward team is palpable, and his impact will be felt for years to come."

McHarg said, "I am honored to take on this role at such an important point in Skyward Group's evolution. The combination of Skyward Specialty and Apollo has created a stronger, more diversified organization with significant strategic opportunities ahead."

Skyward Group is the holding company for Skyward Specialty Insurance Group, Inc. and Apollo Group Holdings Ltd., operating in specialty property and casualty insurance markets.
