Sinch names Jonas Dahlberg as acting CEO following leadership transition
Sinch AB (Stockholm: SINCH) appointed Jonas Dahlberg as acting chief executive officer, effective immediately, the Swedish cloud communications company announced in a press release.
The appointment follows the previously announced departure of CEO Laurinda Pang, who decided to step down on May 7. Dahlberg joined Sinch as chief financial officer on April 1, 2025.
"Over the past several years, Sinch has transformed into a more profitable business, with an integrated customer offering, poised for growth. The Board believes this leadership transition will build on and accelerate that momentum," said Erik Fröberg, chairman of the board.
Before joining Sinch, Dahlberg served as CEO and previously as CFO of Transcom, a global customer experience outsourcer. He also held executive positions at Sweco, a European engineering consultancy, and worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds a master's degree in applied physics and a bachelor's degree in business administration.
"We are now well positioned to accelerate growth as the customer communication infrastructure for the AI economy," Dahlberg said in the announcement.
Pang will continue to support the company until a permanent successor is appointed, but no later than December 31, 2026. She expressed support for the transition, stating that Dahlberg "is ideally positioned to lead Sinch into the future."
The board described Dahlberg as having been "deeply involved in the company's transformation and strategy execution for the past year" and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the company's next development phase.
