Shankar Sadasivam joins Hims & Hers as Vice President of AI

Investing.com -- Shankar Sadasivam has been appointed as Vice President of AI at Hims & Hers (NYSE: HIMS), according to an announcement he made on LinkedIn.

In his statement, Sadasivam highlighted the challenges in the U.S. healthcare system, noting that despite $4.5 trillion in annual spending, millions of Americans struggle to access timely, high-quality, and personalized care.

Sadasivam explained that Hims & Hers aims to transform healthcare delivery by making it more accessible, proactive, personalized, and cost-effective. The company views AI as a "foundational enabler" of this vision and is making significant investments in the technology.

Hims & Hers CEO Andrew Dudum welcomed Sadasivam to the company, stating they are "obsessively focused on building what I believe will be one of the most impactful applications of AI."

Dudum also mentioned that the company is currently hiring and working toward changes that will "fundamentally change how all of us approach our health."
