SLAM Exploration names Jimmy Gravel as president and CEO

SLAM Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: SXL)(OTCQB: SXLXF) announced the appointment of Jimmy Gravel as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement dated October 9, 2026.
Gravel succeeds Michael Taylor, who served as President and CEO for nearly 30 years after being appointed to the role on November 26, 1996. Taylor will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Gravel joined SLAM's Board of Directors in February 2025 and was appointed Vice-President in June of that year. He is the founder and Vice-President of 21Alpha Resources Inc., a private exploration company in Nova Scotia, and the founder and President of NBGold Inc., a private exploration company operating in New Brunswick that is currently optioned to Puma Exploration.
"It is a great privilege and responsibility to succeed Mike Taylor as President and Chief Executive Officer of SLAM Exploration," Gravel said in the statement. "Our objective will be to accelerate the advancement of our projects while remaining disciplined in the deployment of our capital."
Taylor said in the statement: "I am particularly pleased to see Jimmy Gravel take the leadership of SLAM. Jimmy brings new energy, tremendous motivation and a clear vision of what SLAM can become."
SLAM Exploration holds a portfolio of mineral exploration projects in New Brunswick, with a focus on the Goodwin copper-nickel-cobalt project in the Bathurst Mining Camp. The company's portfolio also includes gold, zinc, antimony and other critical mineral properties.
