RLI launches entertainment and amusement insurance line, names VP

RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) has launched an Entertainment & Amusement insurance product and appointed Kym Tormey as vice president to lead the business, according to a company statement.
The product is designed to cover a range of businesses including amusement parks, family entertainment centers, fairs, festivals, mobile amusements, concessionaires and similar attractions. Property and casualty coverage is available on a non-admitted basis in all 50 states.
Tormey brings more than 35 years of insurance industry experience, including nine years leading specialty entertainment and amusement insurance programs. Before joining RLI, she held leadership roles at AXA XL, XL Group, Arch Insurance Group and Royal & Sun Alliance.
Chief Operating Officer Jen Klobnak said in the statement: "This launch reflects RLI's continued focus on identifying opportunities to serve specialized markets through deep underwriting expertise, exceptional service and strong distribution relationships."
Tormey will oversee strategic growth and underwriting operations for the new business line. RLI is a specialty insurer based in Peoria, Ill., serving niche property, casualty and surety markets.
