RIM (RIMM) Global Sales Lead Spence to Depart
Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) shares are indicated for a higher open following reports the company's head of global sales, Patrick Spence, is said to be leaving the company.
Citing the need to take on a leadership role in another industry, Spence's last day will be on June 15th. Spence was promoted to the role last July following his efforts as managing director of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
According to Reuters, citing the Globe and Mail newspaper, Spence likely left after being passed over for the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Shares of RIM are up 0.4 percent after closing 0.27 percent better Thursday.
