Quantum eMotion Corp. (TSXV: QNC) (NYSE American: QNC) (FSE: 34Q0) has appointed David Wayne Teeple as Chief Technology Officer, according to a company statement. Teeple previously served on the company's board of directors since 2021.
Teeple brings more than 30 years of experience in cybersecurity, telecommunications, and information technology. He is the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Phirelight Security Solutions Inc., a Canadian cybersecurity firm that was acquired by RHEA Group in 2018. He also served as a Communications and Electronics Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces earlier in his career.
Teeple holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Ottawa and holds CISA, CRISC, and PMP certifications.
In his new role, Teeple will oversee technology strategy, product development, engineering coordination, and technical integration. His responsibilities include advancing the company's QRNG technologies, SecureKey cryptographic solutions, and its Sentry-Q and eShield-Q platforms.
Teeple will also be involved in the technical aspects of Quantum eMotion's proposed acquisition of Plurilock Security Inc., which the company says would combine quantum-safe cryptography with identity security and AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities.
As part of his compensation, Teeple was granted 500,000 stock options at an exercise price of $1.47 per share. The package includes 300,000 options with a 10-year term vesting at 25% per year over four years, and 200,000 options tied to performance milestones.
