Quanterix Corporation (Nasdaq: QTRX) has appointed Jim Gute as chief commercial officer, according to a company statement. Gute brings approximately 20 years of senior commercial leadership experience in healthcare and information technology.

Gute most recently served as Senior Vice President and Commercial Manager, General Screening, at Exact Sciences, a company with nearly $3 billion in revenue prior to its acquisition by Abbott Labs in early 2026. Before that, he spent 18 years at GE Healthcare, ultimately serving as President of GE Healthcare after holding a series of progressively senior roles. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Cleveland State University and will be based at Quanterix's headquarters in Billerica, Massachusetts.

Everett Cunningham, President and CEO of Quanterix, said Gute's background positions him to "build upon our large installed base and increase new customers to our broadening offerings, leveraging our ultra-sensitive protein-detection in blood and high plex spatial analysis in tissue."

Gute commented that he is "very excited to lead the commercial organization at Quanterix at this key moment when the company is preparing to ramp up its diagnostics business and re-energize its commercial activities."

Quanterix develops precision biomarker technology, including its Simoa platform for detecting biomarkers in blood and spatial analysis tools acquired through its purchase of Akoya Biosciences.
