Q2 Metals names new VP of technical services, raises $2.4M
Q2 Metals Corp. (TSX.V: QTWO | OTCQB: QUEXF | FSE: 458) has appointed Jean-François Tremblay as Vice President of Technical Services, according to a company press release. Tremblay will oversee technical work programs as the company advances its Cisco Lithium Project in the James Bay region of Québec toward a Preliminary Economic Assessment and subsequent engineering phases.
Tremblay has more than 25 years of experience in mining, having held senior roles at Elemission, Arcadium Lithium, Nemaska Lithium, BBA Consultants, Niobec (Magris Resources), and Glencore. His background includes mineral resource estimation, feasibility studies, metallurgy, mine planning, and environmental permitting.
President and CEO Alicia Milne said Tremblay's experience with Arcadium Lithium and Nemaska Lithium would be relevant to the next stage of the Cisco project's development.
The company also disclosed that 4,851,027 warrants, issued in connection with a July 31, 2024, private placement and exercisable at $0.50 per share, were exercised for total proceeds of $2,425,514.
The Cisco Deposit currently holds an inferred mineral resource of 295 million tonnes grading 1.36% Li2O. The 2026 exploration program is focused on infill drilling to advance the resource toward an indicated classification, along with expansion and regional exploration drilling.
