Provenance Gold names Luke Schranz as VP of exploration

Provenance Gold Corp. (CSE: PAU) (OTCQB: PVGDF) appointed Luke Schranz as Vice President of Exploration, effective immediately, according to a company statement.



Schranz will oversee daily operations, planning and technical programs with focus on the company's Eldorado project. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Nevada in Reno.



His previous roles included technical project manager at South32's Roosevelt Project, consultant for Kinross at the Kettle River-Curlew Project, senior geologist and director of technical services at Scout Discoveries Corp, and ore control geologist at Hecla Mining Company's Fire Creek Mine.



Rob Clark, Provenance's President, stated: "We are confident that Luke's leadership, focus and dedication will propel our exploration plans forward with meticulous thoroughness and maximum efficiency."



The company granted Schranz 1,250,000 stock options exercisable at $0.30 per share, vesting 20% every six months over four years.



Provenance is awaiting assay results from six diamond core holes completed at Eldorado East. The drilling focused on the Herman discovery area and a previously unexplored area between zones 2 and 3 in the Tyee area.



The company noted that Paramount Gold received federal approval on January 29 for its Grassy Mountain Project, located south of Provenance's Eldorado project in Malheur County, Oregon. The Bureau of Land Management signed a Record of Decision completing the environmental review process.



Provenance Gold is a precious metals exploration company focused on its Eldorado Gold Project in eastern Oregon, with additional exploration assets in Nevada.
