Penguin Solutions names Ian Colle chief product officer

Penguin Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: PENG) appointed Ian Colle as senior vice president and chief product officer, the company announced. Colle will oversee product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle execution for Penguin's AI Factory Platform.
Colle joins Penguin Solutions from Amazon Web Services, where he served as general manager of advanced computing and simulation. During his tenure at AWS, he helped develop a global high-performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure business that grew into a multi-billion-dollar portfolio. He led teams across product management, engineering, go-to-market, and operations functions.
Before AWS, Colle held senior engineering leadership positions at Red Hat and Intel, where he managed global teams through growth periods and acquisitions. He also worked at various startup companies.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ian to the Penguin Solutions team as we continue to deliver AI Factories for enterprises at scale," said Kash Shaikh, chief executive officer of Penguin Solutions, according to the company's statement.
Colle holds multiple degrees including a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois, a master of business administration from MIT's Sloan School of Management, a master's degree in telecommunications and computer information systems from the University of Denver, and a master's degree in philosophy from Denver Seminary.
Penguin Solutions provides AI infrastructure, computing, memory, and LED solutions to customers across various industries. The company is based in Fremont, California.
