Palvella Therapeutics names Kent Taylor sales chief

Palvella Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: PVLA) appointed Kent Taylor as Senior Vice President of Sales, the company announced. Taylor brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience to the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company.
Taylor previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Arcutis Biotherapeutics (NASDAQ: ARQT), where he led U.S. sales efforts for ZORYVE, a topical PDE4 inhibitor. Before that, he held the position of Vice President of Sales, Dermatology, at Incyte (NASDAQ: INCY), where he built the sales organization for the launch of OPZELURA cream and led a team of more than 170 sales professionals.
At Palvella, Taylor will lead the U.S. sales organization in preparation for the potential launch of QTORIN rapamycin for microcystic lymphatic malformations. The condition affects an estimated more than 30,000 diagnosed patients in the U.S. and currently has no FDA-approved treatments.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Arizona. His career also included leadership roles at Encore Dermatology, Medicis, and 3M Pharmaceuticals.
Palvella focuses on developing therapies for serious, rare skin diseases and vascular malformations without FDA-approved treatments. The company's lead product candidate, QTORIN 3.9% rapamycin anhydrous gel, is being developed for microcystic lymphatic malformations, cutaneous venous malformations, and clinically significant angiokeratomas. A second product candidate, QTORIN pitavastatin, is in development for disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis.
