Owlet Inc. (NYSE: OWLT) announced that Jonathan Harris has resigned as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Kurt Workman, the company's co-founder and current executive chair, will return to the CEO role.

Workman previously served as CEO of the infant monitoring technology company and will cease his duties as executive chairman while remaining on the board of directors. Harris's departure was announced without specific reasons provided in the company statement.

"I'm incredibly excited to have Kurt back in the CEO role," said Lior Susan, Owlet's chairman of the board, citing Workman's strategic vision and execution abilities.

The Utah-based company expects to reach the high end of its first quarter 2026 revenue guidance range and plans to report Q1 2026 financial results in early May. Owlet reaffirmed its long-term strategic goals of increasing adoption, expanding customer lifetime value, and leveraging its data collection for pediatric health platform development.

Chief Financial Officer Amanda Twede Crawford elected to receive her entire 2025 annual bonus in Owlet common stock instead of cash, according to the announcement.

"My return as CEO is a commitment to the mission I started in a garage 12 years ago," Workman said. He stated his goal to make Owlet the standard for at-home pediatric health monitoring.

Owlet describes itself as offering FDA-cleared and internationally certified wearable pediatric monitors. The company reports that more than 2.5 million parents have used Owlet products to monitor their children since 2012.

The preliminary financial estimates for the first quarter have not been audited and may vary from actual results, the company noted.
