OpenAI appointed Denise Dresser as Chief Revenue Officer to oversee the company's global revenue strategy across enterprise and customer success operations.
Dresser previously served as CEO of Slack, where she led the company through its integration with Salesforce. Before Slack, she spent over a decade at Salesforce building and leading global sales organizations for the company's largest customers.
The appointment comes as OpenAI reports having more than one million business customers. The company states that 75% of workers say AI has improved the speed or quality of their work, with many saving 40-60 minutes per day.
"We're on a path to put AI tools into the hands of millions of workers, across every industry. Denise has led that kind of shift before, and her experience will help us make AI useful, reliable, and accessible for businesses everywhere," said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI.
OpenAI's business customers include Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Intuit, Databricks, Target, and Lowe's, according to the company. These organizations use OpenAI's technology in customer experiences, internal operations, and daily workflows.
The company offers ChatGPT for Work for teams and provides API access for companies to integrate AI directly into their systems.
