Omada Health appoints Thomas Tsang as chief medical officer

Omada Health (NASDAQ: OMDA) announced the appointment of Thomas Tsang, MD, MPH as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Tsang will lead the company's clinical organization and advance clinical quality, outcomes, strategy, and innovation across its multi-condition platform.

Dr. Tsang serves on the boards of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. As founding CEO of Valera Health, he led the behavioral health company through growth that included raising over $75 million in funding and scaling to more than 500 employees over five years.

His previous experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer of Merck Healthcare Services and Solutions, and as Medical Director at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology during the Obama Administration. He contributed to the development of the Affordable Care Act while serving as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation/Institute of Medicine Health Policy Fellow on the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee.

The appointment comes as Omada Health continues to expand its GLP-1 Care Track, which has served over 100,000 members since launch. The company recently launched OmadaSpark for nutrition education and motivational interviewing and Meal Map for personalized nutrition guidance.

Omada Health provides virtual healthcare services for individuals with diabetes, hypertension, prediabetes, and musculoskeletal issues. The company serves more than 2,000 customers, including health plans, health systems, and employers.
