Occidental (NYSE: OXY) has appointed Brad Pollack as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, effective August 1, 2026, the company announced. Pollack will oversee Occidental's global legal department and succeed Sylvia Kerrigan in the role.

Kerrigan will retain her title of Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer through the end of 2026 before transitioning to a senior strategic adviser role through 2027.

Pollack joined Occidental in 2014 and most recently served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, where he oversaw legal support for the company's U.S. and international operations, commercial development, acquisitions, divestitures, midstream and marketing, major projects, and supply chain.

Richard Jackson, Occidental's President and Chief Executive Officer, said Pollack's "proven leadership, legal expertise, sound judgment and deep understanding of our business make him uniquely qualified to lead our legal function."

Pollack also serves on the board of directors of Net Power Inc. (NYSE: NPWR). Before joining Occidental, he was a corporate and securities lawyer at Dechert LLP.

Kerrigan has served as Chief Legal Officer since 2022. During her tenure, her team was involved in Occidental's acquisition of CrownRock and the divestiture of OxyChem.
