OSE Immunotherapeutics (Euronext: OSE) announced the termination of Nicolas Poirier as chief executive officer and the appointment of Marc Le Bozec as interim CEO, effective immediately following a board decision.

The biotech company's board of directors has initiated a formal search for a permanent chief executive officer. Le Bozec will lead a strategic evaluation of OSE's business operations, focusing on partnerships, finances, and clinical development programs.

Poirier will retain his position as chief scientific officer at the company. His termination as CEO will not result in any compensation or indemnity payments, as he is remunerated exclusively under his employment contract with OSE.

Le Bozec currently serves as a consultant, board member, and investor for multiple biotech companies. Between 2015 and 2023, he created and managed two biotech investment funds at Financière Arbevel, making 11 investments and facilitating two exits. He previously served as CFO of Cellectis, where he raised €120 million and prepared the company for its Nasdaq listing.

A graduate of HEC Paris, Le Bozec began his career in organizational consulting before moving to strategy consulting at Arthur D. Little. He founded his first biotech company, BioProtein Technologies, in 1998.

The compensation for the new chief executive officer will be reviewed by the nomination and compensation committee and submitted to a shareholder vote at the next general meeting, according to the company statement.

OSE Immunotherapeutics develops treatments in immuno-oncology and immuno-inflammation. The company is based between Nantes and Paris and trades on Euronext.
