Nomad Power Solutions names Canadian sales representative for battery systems

Nomad Power Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: NMAD) has appointed Global Environmental Liquid Ltd. (GEL) as its sales representative in Canada, according to a press release from the Boca Raton, Fla.-based company.

Under the agreement, GEL will identify and develop sales opportunities for Nomad's transportable battery energy storage systems among Canadian utilities, mining and resource companies, and other industrial customers. GEL operates across Ontario, including through a division serving northern and remote communities.

Nomad's systems are semi-trailer-mounted and can be deployed in under one hour, delivering megawatt-scale energy storage without permanent infrastructure. The company's 1 MW / 2 MWh Traveler system holds UL 9540 certification following a field deployment with Missanabie Cree First Nation in Northern Ontario.

"Canada's mining and resource sectors are well suited to Nomad's technology, particularly in remote locations where customers need flexible, rapidly deployable power," said Jim Allan, Director of Sales at Nomad Transportable Power Systems.

"We consistently hear from operators about the challenge of securing reliable power before permanent infrastructure is in place," said Peter Strang, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of GEL. "Nomad's transportable battery systems offer a compelling solution to this challenge."

Nomad participated in the CEN-CAN Mining Expo in Thunder Bay, Ontario earlier in September. The company and GEL also plan to attend the PDAC 2027 Convention in Toronto, scheduled for March 7–10, 2027.
