Newmark names Mike Whitaker as Group Chief Information Officer

Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NMRK) has appointed Mike Whitaker as Group Chief Information Officer, according to a company statement. Whitaker will report to Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and work alongside Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick. He will also serve on the company's Executive Committee.

In the role, Whitaker will oversee technology, data and information initiatives across Newmark's businesses. Sridhar Potineni, Newmark's existing Chief Information Officer, and the broader technology leadership team will report to Whitaker.

Whitaker also holds the role of Group Chief Information Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald. Before joining Cantor Fitzgerald in 2024, he spent 15 years at Citi in senior technology leadership positions, ultimately serving as Head of Operations & Technology and as a member of Citi's Executive Management Team. Prior to Citi, he held senior technology roles at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital, with responsibility covering global fixed income, global equities and prime finance, eCommerce, and algorithmic trading technology.

"Technology and information are increasingly central to how Newmark advises clients, operates globally and executes its growth strategy," Alvarado said.

Newmark reported revenues of more than $3.6 billion for the twelve months ended June 30, 2026, and operated from over 195 offices with more than 10,000 professionals across four continents as of that date.
