New Jersey Natural Gas appoints Helen Ayotte as VP of engineering

New Jersey Natural Gas, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR), appointed Helen Ayotte as Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Asset Management. The appointment became effective immediately.
Ayotte will succeed John Wyckoff, Vice President of Energy Delivery, who will retire on July 1, 2026. In her new role, Ayotte will oversee the company's engineering, construction, environmental and asset management functions for the natural gas distribution system.
Her responsibilities include leading long-term system expansion and reinforcement planning, managing infrastructure and facilities, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance, and advancing asset investment strategies.
"Helen brings deep technical expertise and proven leadership essential to safely and reliably serve our customers," said Steve Westhoven, President and CEO of New Jersey Resources.
Ayotte brings over 20 years of energy industry experience, having held leadership positions at natural gas utility and consulting companies including Cornerstone Energy Services, Summit Utilities Inc. and Unitil Corporation/Northern Utilities. Her background includes managing infrastructure programs and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on safety and reliability.
Westhoven praised Wyckoff's contributions, noting his more than 30 years of leadership at New Jersey Resources in energy delivery and operations functions.
New Jersey Natural Gas serves nearly 600,000 customers in New Jersey's Monmouth, Ocean and parts of Morris, Middlesex, Sussex and Burlington counties. The company operates as the largest stand-alone natural gas utility in New Jersey.
