Net Power appoints Lee Shuman as chief financial officer

Net Power Inc. (NYSE: NPWR) announced the appointment of Lee Shuman as chief financial officer, effective April 13, 2026, according to a company press release.



Shuman previously served as Head of Power Finance for Javelin Global Commodities and as CFO of WattBridge Energy. During his 25-year career, he has led financing for more than $10 billion in power-related transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and development projects across thermal, renewable, and distributed energy solutions.



In his new role, Shuman will oversee the company's financing strategy with a focus on project-level financing. He will assume CFO duties from CEO Danny Rice, who has served as interim CFO since April 2025.



Rice will continue as the company's principal financial officer for SEC purposes until the filing of the quarterly report for the three months ended March 31, 2026, after which Shuman will assume that role. Rice will remain as chief executive officer.



Durham, North Carolina-based Net Power, founded in 2010, develops energy technology and projects focused on low-carbon gas power solutions.
