Medicus Pharma Ltd. (NASDAQ: MDCX) appointed Carolyn Bonner as chief financial officer, adding to her existing role as president of the biotechnology company. The appointment became effective immediately.

Bonner has served as acting CFO since September 12, 2025, following the medical leave of former CFO James Quinlan, who formally resigned for health reasons. The company stated in a press release that the combined responsibilities will provide operational and financial integration under single leadership.

Bonner brings nearly 20 years of healthcare and life sciences experience. She previously served as president and CEO of PCL, Inc., a specialty laboratory with operations in the United States and United Arab Emirates. Her earlier roles included positions at Rosetta Genomics Ltd. and Inform Diagnostics, Inc.

In her expanded role, Bonner will oversee financial reporting, capital markets strategy, budgeting and treasury operations while continuing strategic planning and cross-functional coordination for clinical and corporate development initiatives.

The company is conducting Phase 2 clinical studies for its SKNJCT-003 program across nine U.S. sites and SKNJCT-004 in the United Arab Emirates. The studies evaluate dissolvable doxorubicin-containing microneedle arrays for treating basal cell carcinoma.

In March 2025, Medicus reported interim analysis results showing more than 60% clinical clearance in its SKNJCT-003 study. The company received FDA feedback in September 2025 supporting development under the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway.

Medicus completed the acquisition of U.K.-based Antev Limited in August 2025, adding Teverelix, a GnRH antagonist drug candidate for prostate cancer treatment, to its pipeline.
