MediaCo names new board chair and audit committee head
MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA) announced several leadership changes to its Board of Directors, including the appointment of a new independent Chair of the Board.
Robert L. Greene, President and CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies, has been appointed independent Chair of the Board. Greene will also lead the Compensation Committee as its Chair.
Deborah McDermott, who previously served as independent Chair of the Board and Chair of the Compensation Committee, will step down from both leadership roles. She will remain a member of the Board of Directors and continue serving on the Compensation Committee.
Amit Thakrar has been appointed Chair of the Audit Committee, succeeding Greene in that role as Greene takes on his new responsibilities as Chair of the Board.
"We are grateful to Deb for her leadership, guidance, and contributions as Chair of the Board during an important period in MediaCo's evolution," said Albert Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of MediaCo. "We are equally excited to welcome Bob into his new role as Chair of the Board and to congratulate Amit on his appointment as Chair of the Audit Committee."
"MediaCo has built a unique portfolio of brands that authentically connect with multicultural audiences, and I am honored to serve as Chair of the Board during this exciting chapter," said Robert Greene.
This release corrects a spelling error in a July 7, 2026 announcement, which misspelled Thakrar's name as "Thakar."
