MediaCo names new board chair and audit committee head
MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA) announced several changes to its board of directors, including a new independent chair and a new audit committee chair.
Robert L. Greene, president and CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies, has been appointed as independent chair of the board. Greene will also serve as chair of the Compensation Committee.
Deborah McDermott, who previously served as independent chair of the board and chair of the Compensation Committee, will step down from both leadership roles but will remain a board member and a member of the Compensation Committee.
Amit Thakar has been appointed chair of the Audit Committee, succeeding Greene in that role as Greene transitions to his new responsibilities.
Albert Rodriguez, CEO of MediaCo, commented on the changes: "We are grateful to Deb for her leadership, guidance, and contributions as Chair of the Board during an important period in MediaCo's evolution. We are equally excited to welcome Bob into his new role as Chair of the Board and to congratulate Amit on his appointment as Chair of the Audit Committee."
Greene said in a statement: "MediaCo has built a unique portfolio of brands that authentically connect with multicultural audiences, and I am honored to serve as Chair of the Board during this exciting chapter."
