McFarlane Lake Mining Limited (CSE: MLM, OTCQB: MLMLF, FRA: W2Z) has appointed Gilbert Lamarche, P.Eng., as Chief Operating Officer, effective Oct. 15, 2026, according to a company statement.

Lamarche brings more than 25 years of experience in mining operations, development, and technical leadership in Canada. He most recently served as COO of Foran Mining Corporation, which was acquired by Eldorado Gold earlier this year. In that role, he oversaw the McIlvenna Bay Project in Saskatchewan through construction and into commissioning of a 4,900 tonne-per-day underground mining and milling operation. Before his promotion to COO in 2023, he was VP of Technical Services at Foran Mining.

Prior to Foran, Lamarche spent more than 15 years at Vale, where he served as Head of Mines and Mills Technical Services for Vale's North Atlantic Operations and as Mine Manager at the Coleman and Totten mines in Sudbury, Ontario. He began his career as an Engineer-in-Training at Falconbridge Ltd.'s Kidd Mining Operations in Timmins, Ontario, and later worked as a mining engineering consultant at SRK Consulting in Wales, UK.

Lamarche holds an Applied Science degree in Mining Engineering from Laurentian University and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and Saskatchewan.

"His experience in project execution, mine planning, technical services and operations will add valuable depth to our team as we advance Juby," said Mark Trevisiol, CEO of McFarlane Lake Mining.

The appointment coincides with McFarlane's ongoing advancement of its Juby Gold Project near Gowganda, Ontario. The company said it is planning scoping, metallurgical, and environmental baseline studies while pursuing an Advanced Exploration Permit. Lamarche will also receive stock options and restricted share units as part of his compensation package.
