Manganese X names new CFO, mourns passing of director

Manganese X Energy Corp. (TSXV: MN) (FSE: 9SC) (OTCQB: MNXXF) has appointed Andrew Gainsbury as its permanent Chief Financial Officer, effective July 28, 2026, pending approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.



Gainsbury had been serving as interim CFO since March 1, 2026, and previously held the role of Controller at the company. He brings more than 16 years of experience in financial management and consulting across Canada and Brazil. His background includes serving as CFO of a Brazilian engineering firm with over 800 employees and as a senior consultant at Deloitte in Brazil, where he led corporate finance projects across multiple industries. He holds an MBA from McGill University and holds CFA and CMA designations.



The company also announced the passing of James "Jay" Richardson, who served as a director since May 13, 2020, and as CFO from September 21, 2020 until March 1, 2026. Richardson stepped down from the CFO role following the onset of an illness, at which point Gainsbury was named interim CFO. The company did not disclose further details regarding Richardson's passing.



The company's board and management extended condolences to Richardson's family, friends, and colleagues, acknowledging his years of contribution to the company.
