Lufax sees CFO and three directors resign amid board changes

Lufax Holding Ltd (NYSE: LU, HKEX: 6623) announced changes to its board of directors and senior management, effective July 25, 2026.



Four directors have resigned from the Shanghai-based company. Tongzhuan Xi stepped down as executive director, chief financial officer, and authorized representative under Hong Kong Listing Rules. Non-executive directors Fangfang Cai, Shibang Guo, and Peifeng Li also resigned from their respective board committee roles. All four cited personal work arrangements and confirmed no disagreements with the board.



Lufax said it has begun a search for a new CFO. In the interim, the company's internal team will assume CFO duties. CEO Xiang Ji, who remains an executive director, has been appointed as the new authorized representative under Hong Kong Listing Rules, replacing Xi.



The board appointed Wai Kin Chim as an independent non-executive director for an initial three-year term beginning July 25, 2026. Chim, 65, has over 40 years of experience in international banking across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Beijing. His career includes roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Bankers Trust Company, Deutsche Bank AG, and Bank of China Limited. He currently serves as an independent non-executive director at OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and Banco OCBC (Macau), S.A., among other positions.



In connection with the board changes, Koon Wing Ernest Ip was appointed to the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, replacing Cai. The company's Special Committee will continue under the chairmanship of Dicky Peter Yip, with Koon Wing Ernest Ip and Siu Hong Cheng as members.
