Local Bounti names Dane Almassy as chief commercial officer

Local Bounti Corporation (NYSE: LOCL) appointed Dane Almassy as chief commercial officer, effective August 25, 2025, the indoor agriculture company announced.
Almassy brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial leadership across consumer packaged goods and agriculture sectors. He spent ten years at PepsiCo in senior roles including national sales, strategy, and category management before moving to leadership positions at WhiteWave Foods, Aurora Organic Dairy, and F&S Produce.
Most recently, Almassy served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at AeroFarms, where he led go-to-market strategy, customer experience, and logistics. He currently serves on the leadership board of the CEA Food Safety Coalition.
"His extensive experience across fresh produce and CEA, paired with his operational acumen and strategic mindset gained at both large and rapidly growing consumer packaged goods companies will be extremely valuable as we scale our business alongside strategic retail customers," said Kathleen Valiasek, president, CEO, and CFO of Local Bounti.
Almassy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Local Bounti operates indoor growing facilities across the United States and services approximately 13,000 retail doors. The Hamilton, Montana-based company uses what it calls Stack & Flow Technology for indoor farming operations.
