Latham Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SWIM) appointed Sean Gadd as president and chief executive officer, effective January 5, 2026, the company announced. Gadd will replace Scott Rajeski, who is retiring after serving as CEO for more than eight years.

Gadd joins Latham following a 21-year career at James Hardie, where he most recently served as president of North America since 2022. In that role, he held full profit and loss responsibility for James Hardie's largest regional business. He previously held executive positions overseeing commercial operations, marketing, and sales at the building materials company.

"Sean is known as a strong leader and brand-builder and has an impressive track record of driving growth at James Hardie," said James E. Cline, Latham's chairman. "The Board believes Sean will be able to leverage his robust commercial experience, sector knowledge, and branding expertise to accelerate our ability to continue to gain share and further the conversion to fiberglass from concrete pools."

Gadd will also join Latham's board of directors, replacing Rajeski who is resigning from the board upon his retirement. Rajeski will serve as a special advisor to the company following his departure.

The appointment follows a comprehensive succession planning process led by the board and Rajeski. Latham describes itself as the largest designer, manufacturer, and marketer of in-ground residential swimming pools in North America, Australia, and New Zealand.

The company went public in April 2021 during Rajeski's tenure as CEO. Latham operates approximately 30 locations with around 1,850 employees across its platform.
