Innventure names new board chair, accelerates CEO transition

Innventure, Inc. (NASDAQ: INV) announced several leadership and governance changes, including the appointment of Bruce Brown as independent Chairman of the Board, replacing Michael Otworth. The changes were disclosed in a press release dated Aug. 31, 2026.
Brown had served as Lead Independent Director since November 2025 and was unanimously elected Chairman on Aug. 27, 2026. He currently serves on the board of Magnera Corporation (NYSE: MAGN) and previously served on the boards of Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) and Medpace Holdings (NASDAQ: MEDP).
The company also confirmed that Dr. William Grieco will assume the Chief Executive Officer role and a board seat on Sept. 1, 2026, one month ahead of the originally planned Oct. 1, 2026 transition date. Dr. Grieco succeeds Bill Haskell in both positions.
Catriona Fallon, who joined the board in June 2026, was appointed Audit Committee Chair on Aug. 11, 2026. She previously served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Hitachi Vantara and Chief Financial Officer of both Silver Spring Networks and Marin Software. She has also served on audit committees of Arlo Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ARLO) and Palomar Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: PLMR).
Separately, Suzanne Niemeyer, a management member who had served on the board since October 2024, resigned from the board effective Aug. 31, 2026. Following her departure, the board was reduced to eight directors. Innventure's five remaining independent directors are Michael Amalfitano, Bruce Brown, James O. Donnally, Catriona Fallon, and Elizabeth Williams.
The company also announced it has begun a search for a new Chief Financial Officer, stating it will name a replacement at an unspecified future date.
According to the press release, the board's stated near-term priorities include reducing parent-level cash requirements, identifying funding alternatives, and evaluating strategic options related to its AeroFlexx business unit.
