Innovative Food Holdings names Gary Schubert as new CEO
Innovative Food Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: IVFH) appointed Chief Financial Officer Gary Schubert as Chief Executive Officer and board director, the specialty food platform company announced. The leadership change took effect October 3, 2025.
Schubert replaces Bill Bennett, who stepped down as CEO and director to assume a consulting role with the company through March 31, 2026. Bennett had led the company through what the board described as a stabilization period.
"I am honored to step into the CEO role at IVFH," Schubert said in a statement. He outlined plans to expand the company's specialty food platform by growing its product portfolio, increasing distribution points, and leveraging technology for scaling operations.
During Bennett's tenure, the company achieved three consecutive years of positive adjusted EBITDA for the first time in over a decade, according to the announcement. The company also streamlined operations, exited non-core businesses, and improved gross margins during this period.
"Having positioned IVFH for its next chapter, the Board and I both felt that this was the right time for me to transition to an advisory role," Bennett stated.
The board expressed confidence in the transition, citing Schubert's financial expertise and operational oversight experience. The company operates through direct-to-chef and e-commerce channels, providing specialty food products to professional chefs and consumers.
