Imagine Lithium Inc. (TSXV: ILI) (OTCQB: ARXRF) appointed Simone Sze Man Suen as president and director, the company announced. Suen joined the board of directors in 2024 and will lead the company's exploration and development activities.

J.C. St-Amour stepped down from his role as president and director to pursue other opportunities. The company thanked St-Amour for his service at Imagine Lithium.

Suen brings over 20 years of international mining experience, primarily in the resources sector. She co-founded the Bald Hill Tantalum/Lithium Project in Western Australia and led its listing on the Singapore Exchange in 2014 as Alliance Mineral Assets Limited. As executive director from 2010 to 2018, she managed the project from exploration through commissioning and operations.

In 2019, Suen joined Cassini Resources Ltd as a non-executive director and major shareholder. The company was acquired by OZ Minerals in 2020. She subsequently served as a non-executive director of Caspin Resources Ltd from 2020 to 2023, which was formed as part of the Cassini demerger and owns exploration projects in Western Australia.

"Having worked with Simone for the past year, I am confident that I am leaving the company in strong hands as we continue to aggressively explore and develop the Jackpot Lithium Project," St-Amour said. "Simone has successfully built a lithium company in Australia and looks to bring her wealth of knowledge and expertise to this new leadership role at Imagine."

Imagine Lithium holds the Jackpot lithium property in the Georgia Lake area, approximately 140 kilometers northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The property consists of 297 mineral claims covering 18,800 hectares and contains NI 43-101 compliant mineral resources of 3.1 million tonnes grading 0.85% Li2O in the indicated category and 5.3 million tonnes grading 0.91% Li2O in the inferred category.
