IBC Advanced Alloys names Jenny Gipson president of nonferrous unit

IBC Advanced Alloys Corp. (TSX-V: IB, OTCQB: IAALF) has promoted Jenny Gipson to president of its Nonferrous Division, which operates the company's copper alloys production facility in Franklin, Ind., according to a press release.

Gipson, who joined IBC in 2020 and was named vice president of operations in April, replaces Mark Wolma, who is retiring after more than 18 years with the company. In her new role, she will report to Chairman and CEO Mark A. Smith and oversee daily operations of the Copper Alloys Division.

Before joining IBC, Gipson held positions of increasing responsibility at Fountaintown Forge in Indiana, including 14 years as vice president of operations, giving her more than 25 years of experience in the forging industry.

Smith credited Wolma with leading the consolidation of multiple copper alloy facilities and the expansion and vertical integration of the Franklin plant during his tenure.

IBC manufactures and distributes copper alloys as castings and forgings, including beryllium copper, chrome copper, and aluminum bronze, serving industries such as defense, aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications.
