Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: HYMC) has appointed Michael Deal as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective August 24, 2026, according to a company statement.

Deal brings more than 20 years of experience in gold and silver mining operations across North America. He most recently served as Vice President of Operations at First Majestic Silver, where he led enterprise operations across multiple mines and served as executive lead for the integration of a $1 billion acquisition. He also directed annual capital programs exceeding $300 million.

Prior to First Majestic Silver, Deal held senior roles at Nevada Gold Mines, OceanaGold, Romarco Minerals, and Newmont Corporation. At Nevada Gold Mines, he managed processing operations at the Carlin Complex, including roaster and autoclave facilities. He also played a leadership role in the construction and commissioning of the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina.

Diane Garrett, Executive Chairman and CEO of Hycroft, said Deal's background in sulfide processing operations, including roasters and autoclaves in Nevada, aligns with the company's focus on advancing the Hycroft Mine's two high-grade silver systems, Brimstone and Vortex.

Deal holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Arizona State University. He is a Registered Member and Qualified Person with the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration.
