Huntsman names Julia Wright as general counsel, David Stryker retires

Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) announced Julia Wright will join as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary effective October 13, 2025. Wright will replace David Stryker, who announced his retirement effective at year-end.
Stryker will transition to Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives in the Chairman's Office before retiring. He has served as the company's General Counsel since June 2013.
Wright brings over 15 years of senior executive experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at ChampionX Corporation until its acquisition by SLB on July 16, 2025. At ChampionX, she oversaw legal operations including corporate governance, compliance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC filings.
Wright joined ChampionX in 2018 and previously held the position of Vice President and General Counsel at Nabors Industries Ltd. She began her legal career at Vinson and Elkins in Dallas and also worked at Baker McKenzie.

Huntsman noted Wright's role in establishing ChampionX's legal and compliance function from inception in 2018, negotiating the acquisition of Ecolab's upstream chemical business, and guiding the organization through its sale to SLB.
Huntsman Corporation is a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals with 2024 revenues of approximately $6 billion. The company operates more than 60 facilities in approximately 25 countries and employs about 6,300 associates.
