Huntsman names Amy Smedley as general counsel and secretary

Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) appointed Amy Smedley as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, effective January 5, 2026. Smedley will replace David Stryker, who is retiring from the general counsel position.



Smedley currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Savage Companies, a role she has held since 2022. She previously worked at Huntsman for 16 years, advancing to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel before leaving the company.



During her previous tenure at Huntsman, Smedley led litigation matters including the Albemarle case. Her legal career also includes serving as a clerk for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge William T. Thurman and practicing at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in Salt Lake City.

The Woodlands, Texas-based Huntsman Corporation is a global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals with approximately $6 billion in 2024 revenues. The company operates more than 60 manufacturing and research facilities in approximately 25 countries and employs about 6,300 people in its continuing operations.
