His career includes senior leadership positions at Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, GE, Terumo and Rapid AI.

The executive has overseen launches of more than 50 products during his career, according to the company's statement. His experience spans medical devices, diagnostics and healthcare technology across U.S. and international markets.

Symvess, Humacyte's first FDA-approved product, received approval in December 2024 for treating extremity vascular trauma. The company has expanded access through hospital approvals and inclusion in the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency's Electronic Catalog. Humacyte has also filed a Marketing Authorization Application in Israel for international expansion.

The Durham, North Carolina-based company develops bioengineered human tissues and is conducting late-stage clinical trials for other vascular applications, including arteriovenous access for hemodialysis and peripheral artery disease treatment.
