Honeywell Technologies (Nasdaq: HON) announced leadership changes across two of its business units, with both transitions set to take effect Oct. 1, 2026, according to a press release from the company.
Billal Hammoud, who has served as President and CEO of Building Automation since 2023, will move to the role of President and CEO of Process Technology, a unit within the company's Process Automation & Technology reportable segment. He replaces Ken West, who is leaving Honeywell Technologies on Aug. 31, 2026, to pursue an external opportunity.
Juan Picon, currently President of Building Automation Americas, will succeed Hammoud as President and CEO of Building Automation. Both Hammoud and Picon will report to Vimal Kapur, Chairman and CEO of Honeywell Technologies.
During Hammoud's tenure leading Building Automation, the unit's organic sales growth rose from 2% in 2023 to 8% in 2025, on a non-GAAP basis. He also oversaw the integration of the company's $4.95 billion acquisition of Access Solutions.
Picon rejoined Honeywell Technologies in 2024 as President of the Fire Life Safety business before moving to his current role. He previously spent more than 18 years at the company in various leadership positions. Prior to returning, he held executive roles at Sensata Technologies, WESCO Distribution, and General Cable.
"Both Billal and Juan's appointments demonstrate the depth and strength of our leadership bench across Honeywell Technologies," Kapur said in the statement.
