Hillcrest Energy Technologies (CSE: HEAT) (OTCQB: HLRTF) (FSE: 7HI) announced the appointment of Otmar Bitsche as Vice President of European Business Development. Bitsche served as Director of E-Mobility at Porsche AG from 2012 until his retirement in December 2025.
During his tenure at Porsche, Bitsche built the company's e-mobility organization and led development of the Mission E project, which became the Taycan. He developed what the company describes as the industry's first 800-volt vehicle architecture and charging infrastructure, and oversaw development of vehicles including the 918 Spyder and the battery system for the 911 GTS t-hybrid.
Bitsche's career spans over 30 years in the electric vehicle industry, including positions at Steyr-Daimler-Puch, Temic, and DaimlerChrysler, where he worked on battery systems, electrical powertrains, and storage systems.
"Otmar built Porsche's e-mobility organization and architected its 800-volt platform — he knows what it takes to bring advanced technology from concept to series production," said Don Currie, CEO of Hillcrest.
Hillcrest reports its ZVS traction inverter achieved 99.7% peak efficiency in automotive OEM testing, with greater than 99% efficiency across 90% of the operating range. The company completed validation testing with automotive OEMs and Tier One suppliers throughout 2025.
Bitsche joins Hillcrest's European team that includes Harald Hengstenberger, whose firm Systematec GmbH operates as the company's Automotive Center of Excellence in Germany, and Dr. Heinz-Georg Burghoff, who brings over 20 years of experience from DaimlerChrysler AG.
The information is based on a company press release.
