Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) has appointed Stephen DeWitt as senior vice president and general manager of its webOS global business unit.

Jon Rubinstein, the visionary behind webOS, will assume a product innovation role within the Personal Systems Group (PSG) at HP.
