Health Catalyst, Inc. (Nasdaq: HCAT) announced the appointment of Simeon Kohl as Chief Executive Officer, President, and member of its Board of Directors, effective September 14, 2026.
Kohl most recently served as CEO of Performant Healthcare, a public healthcare company whose sale to Machinify closed for approximately $670 million. He has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare operations, growth, and public-company leadership.
Outgoing CEO and President Ben Albert will transition to the role of Chief Business Officer and will step down from the Board of Directors effective September 13, 2026. During his tenure, Albert led the divestiture of Vitalware, which the company said allowed it to retire approximately $160 million in credit facility debt.
Board Chairman Justin Spencer said in a statement: "Simeon is a seasoned public-company healthcare leader with a strong track record of driving operational performance and creating shareholder value."
Kohl said he was drawn to the company in part because of what he described as "nearly two decades of proprietary data behind $2.8 billion in documented outcomes."
The announcement was made based on a company press release dated September 8, 2026.
