Hadron Energy names ex-TerraPower COO as engineering chief
Hadron Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: HDRN) has appointed Eric Williams as Executive Vice President of Engineering, effective August 31, 2026, according to a company statement.
Williams joins from TerraPower, where he spent 12 years and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. In that role, he oversaw the Nuclear Regulatory Commission approval of the Natrium Construction Permit, which the company describes as the first construction permit issued for a commercial advanced small modular reactor design in the United States.
At TerraPower, Williams also served as Senior Vice President and Design Authority for the Natrium Demonstration Project, a 345 megawatt-electric advanced reactor, where he submitted the first NRC Construction Permit Application for a commercial advanced reactor. Earlier in his tenure, he scaled TerraPower's engineering team from 60 to 180 engineers over four years.
Prior to TerraPower, Williams held roles at B&W mPower, Framatome, and in aerospace and space operations. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Lynchburg and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
In his new role, Williams will oversee Hadron's engineering organization, including hardware, software, systems, manufacturing, and quality functions, as the company works toward commercialization of its Halo Micro-Modular Reactor, a 10 megawatt-electric light-water reactor.
Hadron listed on Nasdaq in May 2026 and has reported recent NRC licensing milestones, including acceptance of its Quality Assurance Program Description and submission of a Principal Design Criteria whitepaper. The company has also announced partnerships with GSE Systems for simulator supply and ConverDyn for uranium fuel supply and conversion.
