Guanajuato Silver names Colin Bower as COO
Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. (TSXV: GSVR) (OTCQX: GSVRF) has appointed Colin Bower as Chief Operating Officer, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based precious metals producer.
Bower brings more than 35 years of mining experience to the role, having previously held senior positions at First Majestic Silver, Barrick, BHP, and KGHM. He will oversee the company's mining operations in Mexico, with responsibility for safety, operational performance, productivity, and execution of its growth strategy.
Most recently, Bower served as Vice-President of Operations at First Majestic Silver Corp. from 2021 to 2025, where he managed three underground precious metals mines in Mexico: San Dimas, Santa Elena, and La Encantada.
From 2019 to 2020, Bower held roles at Barrick, including Executive General Manager for Barrick Nevada and Executive General Manager of Growth, Strategy and Integrated Operations for Nevada Gold Mines.
Bower also spent time at KGHM between 2011 and 2016, serving in management roles across the Sierra Gorda Mine in Chile and the Robinson Mine in Nevada. Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years at BHP's Escondida Mine in Chile and later returned to BHP as General Manager of its Cerro Colorado operation in Chile.

Guanajuato Silver operates silver and gold mines in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, as well as the Topia mine in Durango, which produces silver, gold, lead, and zinc concentrates.
