Grit Metals names Jake Clark as CEO, Jeremy Poirier as chairman
Grit Metals Corp. (TSXV: FIN) (FSE: K9T) (OTCQB: EUEMF) has appointed Jake Clark as Chief Executive Officer and director, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Clark, who previously served as Vice President of Exploration at Grit Metals, holds credentials as a registered professional geologist with more than 12 years of experience in mineral exploration, mining, and investment across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North America.
Former CEO Jeremy Poirier will transition to the role of Chairman. Outgoing Chairman Gino DeMichele has retired from the board, having served for six years.
"I am pleased to see Jake step into the CEO role following the significant progress made in Finland under his leadership as VP Exploration," said Poirier. "I am confident he is well placed to lead the Company through its next stage of advancement."
Clark stated: "My focus will be on disciplined exploration, efficient deployment of capital and delivering clear, technically driven progress for shareholders."
In connection with the appointment, the board approved the grant of 700,000 stock options to Clark at an exercise price of $0.11 per common share. The options are exercisable for five years from the grant date, subject to vesting terms under the company's Equity Incentive Plan and TSX Venture Exchange policies.
Grit Metals is a junior exploration company focused on lithium-cesium-tantalum pegmatites in central Finland.
