Goosehead Insurance names John Martin CFO, promotes Mark Jones Jr.

Goosehead Insurance Inc. (NASDAQ: GSHD) appointed John Martin as chief financial officer and promoted Mark Jones Jr. to president and chief operating officer, the company announced.
Martin joins Goosehead from a private equity-backed e-commerce platform where he served as CFO and oversaw finance, strategy, corporate development and capital markets. He previously held investment roles at Highbridge Capital Management and Providence Equity Partners after starting his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Martin graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
Jones, who was promoted as part of the company's succession planning, will expand his operational leadership and drive go-to-market strategy while continuing to report to CEO Mark Miller.
"John brings strong financial and strategic experience across operating companies, capital markets and e-commerce platforms," Jones said. "We are excited to welcome John to Goosehead and believe he will be a strong addition to our leadership team."
Martin said he was honored to join the company and looked forward to working with the leadership team to scale the organization and drive growth.
Miller said Jones has been instrumental in building the foundation of the business and he looks forward to working with him as he focuses on operational execution.
Goosehead operates as an independent personal lines insurance agency that distributes products through corporate and franchise locations across the United States. The company represents over 200 insurance companies that underwrite personal and commercial lines.
