Goodfood names Najib Maalouf as president and COO

Goodfood Market Corp. (TSX: FOOD) appointed Najib Maalouf as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. The Montreal-based online meal solutions company said Maalouf will oversee strategy execution with focus on operations, product development, customer experience and organizational streamlining.

Maalouf brings experience in global manufacturing and consumer businesses, with senior leadership roles in operational excellence, supply chain management and performance improvement. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

"Goodfood has built a strong platform delivering convenience, quality and value to customers across Canada, and I look forward to helping drive the Company's performance and growth while enhancing our operational capabilities and customer experience."

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Selim Bassoul said Maalouf previously led a billion-dollar global manufacturing business in the residential appliance sector, overseeing premium brands and international operations. "His expertise will be instrumental as we strengthen and bring discipline to our business to create long-term value for our customers and shareholders," Bassoul stated.

Goodfood operates as a digitally native meal solutions brand, delivering fresh meals and add-ons to customers nationwide. The company maintains production facilities in Quebec and Alberta.
